An American returnee, Chima Ordu, has been remanded in prison for taking the pictures of a policewoman allegedly collecting bribes from motorists in the Isolo area of Lagos.
According to PUNCH, Ordu was in a tricycle taxi when he reportedly took the pictures of the the policewoman on Wednesday. But he was seen by some of the policewoman’s colleagues, who damaged the phone with which he took the pictures.
The police subsequently arraigned Ordu before an Isolo Magistrate Court
for illegally taking pictures of a law enforcement officer. Ordu pleaded
not guilty and demanded a speedy trial.
The Magistrate, Mrs. J.O.E. Adeyemi, granted him bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum. He was however remanded in prison when he couldn’t meet the bail condition.

Ordu was then asked to apologize to the police and have the charge withdrawn but he refused insisting he had done nothing wrong.
The case was adjourned till May 3, 2017.
