A corp member, Ikenna Adol Madu, currently serving in Katsina State has taken to his Facebook page to post bizarre photos of NYSC members attacked by their hosts for living in the same compound...

According to Madu, the victims lived together in the same compound, which upset their hosts who said it was a crime for unmarried females to share the same space with men. And for this reason, the NYSC members were allegedly, viciously attacked.

From the photos Madu shared on his Facebook, a male NYSC member suffered deep gashes in his head, while the female had her thumb chopped off.

The photos have stirred an outrage on social media. Asked if the case was reported to the police, Madu said it has been. However, the perpetrators were not arrested. 

Instead, the agent who found the living quarters for the NYSC members was taken into police custody, the landlord has been invited too, while the victims have been moved to a hotel for temporary shelter.
