A 22 year old HIV positive lady has emerged as the crowned beauty queen in the 2017 Miss Congo UK beauty pageant.The 22-year-old beauty queen, Horcelie Sinda Wa Mbongo, who is a student in London studying Fine Arts, reportedly discovered her HIV status at the age of 11 that she was HIV positive from birth...

The newly crowned then revealed her plans to return to her home country, Congo, to carry out campaigns on HIV and AIDS.

Speaking after she was crowned, Slinda said: 

“I’m happy I’ve won at least something in my life. My story has warmed people’s hearts and that’s the most important thing.”
